When I say brunch, what comes to mind? Frilly drinks, small egg portions, and women in sun dresses? Not today, says Bangers. Bangers has taken the mimosa to a whole 'nother level. Introducing the Manmosa. Thats right, they are pouring 33.814 ounces of nectary goodness into a liter mug fit for King Ludwig. The Manmosa consists of 750ml of the finest of $5 champagne poured skillfully poured into the cup using a technique learned from the ancient mayans. The champagne is then topped with 250ml of orange juice topping off the liter mug to be consumed. The mug used to be $10 until Austin decided that keeping prices low was a bad idea, and is now offered for $20. The extra gotcha is that the TABC requires you to buy a food item on top of the Manmosa in order to receive one. So expect to pay an extra $5 as a minimum on top of your Manmosa purchase.
The Drink:
We will go ahead and rate the Manmosa a 2.5 orange rating today. The 250mL of orange juice actually comes out to be quite a lot in the composition of the Manmosa. We here at FindingMimos enjoy the novelty of a large mimosa, but at the end of the day, there are better options elsewhere in Austin. The fact that the majority of Bangers seating is outside forces you to down your Manmosa quickly or face a very warm mimo by the time you get to the bottom.

The good thing about Bangers is that it offers the flexibility of being a beer bar as well. With over 200+ beers on tap, you will never run out of options. If you want the true german biergarten experience, Bangers will allow you to put a beer into a liter mug. Its not everyday you can find this option in Austin.
The Food:
I have noticed they changed the brunch menu since I last visited, their chicken and waffles, while not bad, they were nothing to write home about. The fact that you are now forced to order a food item by TABC kind of puts a damper on coming here, as there are much better food options elsewhere. I have tried the sausages as well, they are quite tasty but nothing that'd compare to a real german restaurant.

The Vibe:
The best biergarten in Austin doesn't disappoint when it comes to a vibe. With a expansive patio surrounded by picnic style tables, it really is a great experience. On sundays during brunch, there are normally brass bands playing with some new and old hits that'll make you groove in your bench seat.
