Vincents Sports Bar (8916 Brodie Ln #100, Austin, TX 78748)

Cool, crisp autumn air. Hay rides at the local orchard. Tailgating in a hoodie. The leaves changing colors. Spiked hot apple cider. These are just some of the things that you'll never experience as fall rolls around in the great state of Texas. But one thing you will experience is football. Pure, unadulterated Texas football. From the Cowboys of Dallas, the Texans of Houston and the Longhorns of UT to the pee wee kids playing out back, Texas just doesn't F*** around. And what better place to watch a football game than a sports bar? Nobody said it better than the late great John madden when he mouthed - "Winning is a great deodorant." I'm not 100% sure how it applies to watching football at a sports bar, but damn if that quote doesn't just get you going!

The Food:

Chicken and waffles- So I know i review chicken and waffles often, but that's because it is the greatest brunch dish in all the land. Vincent's does not disappoint one bit when it comes to the C&W. For a measly $10 you get 3 large pieces of chickens laid on top of a fluffy Belgian waffle. But hear me out, not only do you get syrup, you also get Vincent's 237 year old family recipe buffalo sauce. I was hesitant at first, but I am now a believer of buffalo sauce on C&W.

The Drink:

Mimosas, well what is there to say besides the fact that they come in a glass cup, they are well poured, and are $3. You will not be disappointed with the pour at Vincents. They use the finest of J Roget bubbly coupled with the large gallon of OJ. For this we give Vincents 2.5 Oranges on the findingmimos scale.

The Lunch:

Mmmm, that is all i have to say about my favorite local friday lunch spot. Their chicken quesdaillas for $8 just seem to hit the spot. With the 2 side sauces of queso and a fiery poblano hot sauce, your taste buds will not be lacking flavor. The quesadillas are filled with grilled chicken, poblano peppers, and then stuffed with delicious bacon. All topped sour cream and a smathering of cilantro. Served along side some chips that go damn well with the queso, sidewinder fries can also be substituted at NO CHARGE (WHOA).
